Consent and Release

If you’re recording people, you must make sure they sign a release form. A Consent and Release grants you permission to use their image (in video or photo), audio, and words in your production.

Consent is needed to comply with privacy and data protection laws. If you fail to obtain the consent of an individual who is identifiable, either directly or indirectly, through your video, you may have to resort to just blurring their image, as this makes them unidentifiable.
